Course Description
The course Principles of Biology will be taught in coordination with Minnesota West through the REACH Program covering one semester and includes four credits in the Biological Sciences. Of the four credits earned three will be awarded to the area of classroom lecture and one will be awarded to laboratory studies. Throughout the course students will investigate fundamental principles of biology with special emphasis on the composition of living things and living systems, the chemistry of living things, natural selection, cell biology, metabolism emphasizing bioenergetics and biosynthesis, the cell cycle, and genetics.
